Come on sis, what did you think was going to happen? See, what y’all did was make a critical unforced error: you chose the worst of us to try to take seriously and then projected that failure onto all of us.

I often say that an attractive woman attracts all men, but her dating outcomes are a result of the men she chooses. Well, for years y’all were choosing the bums, build-a-bears, and dusties and not having any luck with them (SHOCKER) and rather than take a step back and say “oh my god, is it me?” y’all started a whole “black men ain’t shit” miniseries on BET.

I mean, look at the messages you all were telling us for years: “black men aint shit”, “we can do bad by ourselves”, “no good men left”, etc. Cool. We got the message loud and clear. You don’t want us — at least, you don’t want us as we are. We can accept that.

So we got our passports, packed our bags, and left. We didn’t wish you ill. We didn’t try to diminish your ability to go after the men you wanted (after all, you dont want us, right?) We just grabbed our shit, and left.

Why are you all mad that the men you don’t want are giving you exactly what you have been asking for?
